Description
Intimate partner and domestic violence are a common problem in the United States, affecting an estimated 10 million people every year; as many as one in four women and one in nine men are victims of domestic violence. The Communications & Public Relations Intern supports Alianza's efforts to raise awareness of domestic and intimate partner violence, and helps to promote Alianza's programs and services. The intern works on projects that directly impact the public's understanding of factors contributing to domestic violence, and will gain hands-on experience in policy research, general and targeted communications, and public awareness event planning and coordination. Hours to be determined by candidate and schedule.
