Volunteer: Board of Directors

Role of a Board Director

Members of the Board of Directors help guide the Trust’s mission, sustainability, and impact. Board directors are responsible for:

●     Supporting the organization’s mission and long-term financial health

●     Helping ensure the Trust produces meaningful, high-quality work

●     Supporting programs that benefit members and the broader community

●     Contributing time, talent, and perspective to help the organization grow

Minimal responsibilities include:

●     Attend board meetings regularly (third Wednesday of each month, at 6:00pm, held virtually) and actively participate in decision-making

●     Obtain various means of support for the organization, such as sponsorships, donors, new members, lecturers, and/or tour guides

●     Maintain membership in good standing

●     Join a committee
