 e of charge weekend bereavement camp for kids aged 7-17 who have experience
 d the death of a parent, sibling, primary caregiver, or significant person.
  The upcoming Massachusetts camp is occuring September 27-29 in Palmer, MA 
 (~45 mins from Worcester). \nWhat volunteers need to know:\n-Volunteers nee
 d to attend a four hour training and be present at camp from 2 PM Friday un
 til 4 PM Sunday on camp weekend. \n-They will also need to pass a backgroun
 d check.\n-Volunteers will be assigned a one-on-one match with a "little bu
 ddy" based on interests and experiences.\n-Volunteers do not need to have e
 xperienced a personal loss, although many do. \n-Camp is active and a lot o
 f time is spent outdoors.\n-Campers and volunteers sleep in rustic cabins.\
 n-There is an in-person MA volunteer training on August 17th that intereste
 d people can attend (flyer attached), as well as a virtual volunteer traini
 ng on August 21st and 22nd. In order to attend training, people will need t
 o fill out the volunteer application that is linked on both training sites.
  This site can also be useful for people interested in volunteering - it wi
 ll guide them to the application but additionally gives them a space to rea
