DESCRIPTION:Opportunity: Buddy Volunteers for Children Grieving the Loss of
  a Loved One\nAgency: Comfort Zone Camp\n\nWhat is Comfort Zone Camp?A free
  of charge weekend bereavement camp for kids aged 7-17 who have experienced
  the death of a parent, sibling, primary caregiver, or significant person. 
 The upcoming Massachusetts camp is occuring September 27-29 in Palmer, MA (
 ~45 mins from Worcester). What Volunteers Need to KnowÂ· Volunteers need to
  attend a four hour training and be present at camp from 2 PM Friday until 
 4 PM Sunday on camp weekend. They will also need to pass a background check
 .Â· Volunteers will be assigned a one-on-one match with a "little buddy" ba
 sed on interests and experiences. Â· Volunteers do not need to have experie
 nced a personal loss, although many do. Â· Camp is active and a lot of time
  is spent outdoors. Campers and volunteers sleep in rustic cabins.There is 
 an in-person MA volunteer training on August 17th that interested people ca
 n attend (flyer attached), as well as a virtual volunteer training on Augus
 t 21st and 22nd. In order to attend training, people will need to fill out 
 the volunteer application that is linked on both training sites. This site 
 can also be useful for people interested in volunteering - it will guide th
 em to the application but additionally gives them a space to reach out to C
