We are seeking an experienced professional in small business development to volunteer as a guest speaker for a special Thrive Program workshop series at Springfield Technical Community College (STCC).
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver a 60–75 minute presentation on small business development, tailored for students and community members interested in entrepreneurship.
- Cover key topics such as: steps to start a small business, creating a basic business plan, common pitfalls to avoid, financial considerations, and available resources for new business owners.
- Engage participants through examples, Q&A, and practical advice.
- Collaborate with United Way staff to ensure the content is accessible and actionable for attendees.
